Welcome!

STLP Students Hard at Work at 2010 KySTE

by Michelle Eigenheer, STLP Cyber-reporter

As educators from all across the state gather at the Galt House to learn how to better meet the needs of their students, one group of students is working tirelessly to meet the needs of the educators.  Tuesday, March 9, brought a group of eight student engineers to work behind the scenes at the KySTE Conference.
“We’re just keeping everyone happy,” said senior engineer, Cynthia Smith.
Tuesday morning, this group of STLP students set up four of the five labs.  This included hours of connecting networks, installing software, checking internet connections, and running cables.
Wednesday morning included the complete set up of the Internet Café, a nice accommodation for all conference attendees.  The rest of the morning was filled with more lab setup.  The team had to be sure to get everything up-and-running in time for the end of the Keynote address.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the engineering team will be assisting those setting up and running the exhibit hall, and will act as troubleshooters throughout the conference.  Their work will end with their tear-down duties, packing up every lab.
Until then, they’ll be keeping labs clean and safe, while also keeping all of the technology at the KySTE Conference running smoothly.
If you have any problems or questions, please see the STLP Technical Assistance booth by the Internet Café, or simply ask someone a kid in a yellow t-shirt.

It's a SPRING Thing!

KySTE welcomes you to the 2010 annual conference! This year promises to be a fun-filled learning experience for all.  We have over 1500 participants (attendees, presenters, and vendors) and on-site registration is booming (or should we say blooming?)  If you have any questions, please feel free to visit any one of the three information tables or the registration desk in the East tower.

 Enjoy your conference!
