KySTE Call for Board Nominations

Nominations are now open for the following officers and representatives for terms to begin July 1, 2018:

  • Vice President (3 year commitment– the holder of this office automatically becomes president, then past president - must have prior KySTE Board experience)
  • Secretary  (2 year position)
  • KySTE Outreach (2 year position)
  • Communications Officer (2 year position)
  • Regional Representatives from each of Regions 2, 4, 6, and 8 (2 year position)

2017 Elections - Voting Open

Current KySTE members can now cast their votes for the following positions: Vice President, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, and ISTE Liaison.  Region 1, 3, 5, and 7 representatives are elected by the region's CIO/DTCs.  Check out the candidate statements and résumés HERE and watch your email for an invitation to vote!

KySTE Hires New Executive Director Lorena Webb

On January 19th, 2017 the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) Board unanimously voted to hire Lorena Webb as its Executive Director.  Webb will retire from her position as Library Media Specialist from the Madison County Schools on June 30th to assume the new KySTE duties.

No Fall Event for 2017

KySTE will not be hosting a Fall Event this year so that we can concentrate our efforts and resources on the Spring Conference.

Galt House Data Breach




To: all KySTE 2017 attendees It has recently come to our attention that the Galt House Hotel experienced a credit card security breach during the time that the KySTE Conference was held there (March 2017). This security breach may have resulted in credit card data of some hotel guests being compromised during their stay at the Galt House. The breach occurred between December 21, 2016 and April 11, 2017. Please see the link below for the more information from the Galt House:
