Galt House Data Breach

 

Important!

 

To: all KySTE 2017 attendees It has recently come to our attention that the Galt House Hotel experienced a credit card security breach during the time that the KySTE Conference was held there (March 2017). This security breach may have resulted in credit card data of some hotel guests being compromised during their stay at the Galt House. The breach occurred between December 21, 2016 and April 11, 2017. Please see the link below for the more information from the Galt House:

You may call 1-866-815-1914 to find out if your information was compromised. This is a dedicated call center that is simple to use. Also please continue to monitor your credit card activity on a regular basis.

2017 Elections - Voting Open

KySTE Hires New Executive Director Lorena Webb

On January 19th, 2017 the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) Board unanimously voted to hire Lorena Webb as its Executive Director.  Webb will retire from her position as Library Media Specialist from the Madison County Schools on June 30th to assume the new KySTE duties.

Seeking Executive Director

The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) is currently seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director.  This is a part time position and the salary will be based upon the individual’s experience.  This individual would need to be ready to begin his/her position on July 1, 2017.  We would ask that by that time the individual no longer be working full time at any other place of employment.

KySTE 2017, the conference of the Kentucky Society of Technology in Education, invites to you to present.  Nearly 2,000 teachers, administrators, and technology leaders will be in attendance.  Share your methods, experiences, initiatives, and successes!  Approved presenters attend the conference for FREE!

KySTE Fall Training Event

Registration is now open for the 2016 KySTE Fall Training Event! 

This year's Fall Event will be held on Wednesday, October 26th.  The event will be held from 9:00 - 4:00 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near the Airport in Louisville. All are welcomed to attend as we explore the history of KETS (Kentucky Educational Technology System) and current topics pertinent to all of those who assist our educators in using technology effectively to meet the needs of today's students.  CIO's / DTCs as well as instructional technology support staff will come together to learn about hot topics and how all comes together in the world of technology.  Session topics include timelines and reporting, digital security, Microsoft Imagine Academy, STLP, and the popular topic of "How Not to Get Fired!"
