Mary Grace Jaeger- STLP Scholarships - Nominations CLOSED

Mary Grace Jaeger, an outstanding educator in the Jefferson County Public Schools admired and respected by her peers, modeled best practices in the educational technology field.  After her death, an STLP scholarship fund was established to promote life-long learning with technology to be awarded to an STLP high school senior meeting the criteria as established below.

The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) will award two - $500. scholarships at the STLP Conference held in Lexington, May 6-7, 2008. These two scholarships recognize and acknowledge outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate leadership and dedication for learning and leading with technology.

Nominations will be open Friday, March 28, 2008 and close Friday, April 25, 2008 at 4:00pm EST

Criteria for Nomination
The criteria established is in place to assist the KySTE awards committee in accurately scoring each nomination. The individual nominating the student or the applicant's school district must have a member in good standing with KySTE, and the applicant must be a current and active member of STLP.

Applicant (Student) will complete the following questions in their own words.

  1. How many years have you been a member of STLP?
  2. Are you an active member of STLP?
  3. List STLP activities and your level of involvement/responsibility.
  4. List school and community activities in which you are actively involved.
  5. What two activities have been the most meaningful to you and why? Please feel free to provide electronic illustrations of activities.
  6. Include two letters of recommendation
