Kentucky Society for Technology in Education

This is an opportunity to recognize Senior STLP Students in your District.

The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE)) will be awarding (2) $500.00 scholarships at the STLP Conference held in Lexington, Kentucky on May 10-11, 2007. The scholarships are the Mary Grace Jaeger Scholarships which recognize outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate leadership and dedication to technology in education.

Mary Grace Jaeger was an outstanding educator in the Jefferson County Schools who was a model leader in the technical educational field.

The applicant's school district must be a member of KySTE and the applicant must be a current member of STLP.

The deadline for the applications is May1, 2007. Applications need to be submitted electronically to KySTE President, Susan Taylor via e-mail at susan.taylor@Calloway.kyschools.us .

Please submit the following information in electronic attachments submitted from the e-mail account of the District DTC/CIO.

• Name of Student, School District, and High School
• Name of STLP Coordinator
• Current GPA, Class Rank, SAT and ACT Composite Scores
• Post Secondary Institution Applicant Plans on Attending

Each applicant needs to answer the following questions submitted in their own words.

1. How many years have you been a member of STLP?
2. Are you currently a member of STLP?
3. List school/community activities (STLP first).
4. What 2 activities have been the most meaningful and why? (Please feel free to provide electronic illustrations of activities.)

Include (2) letters of recommendation along with the information above.
