It is that time of year again when the Nominations and Appointments Committee begins their work on establishing a slate of candidates for the ISTE Board of Directors. I encourage you to run for a seat on the Board. ISTE membership is a pre-requisite for nominating, as well as serving on the Board. The following positions are open for 2008: · Two At-large Representatives · One PK-12 School Representative · One School District Administration Representative · One Teacher Education Representative You may nominate any ISTE member (including yourself!). The term of office for all positions is two years and begins in June 2008. More details about the nomination process and Board member responsibilities will be available at http://www.iste.org/elections/ as soon as nominations open. Please help ISTE in finding the best Directors possible. As you know this is the best method we have of finding visionary leaders committed to the goals of ISTE and advancing the field of educational technology. Nominations will be open Monday, December 17, 2007 through Tuesday, January 22, 2008.
