KySTE 2014,
the conference of the Kentucky Society for Technology in
Education, is still looking for presenters. Approved
presenters attend the conference for free!
Nearly 2,000 information
technology leaders, technicians, resource/integration specialists, classroom teachers,
administrators/district leaders, library media specialists, and other education professionals
are expected to attend this year's conference. Share your methods, experiences, and successes!
The conference theme is “Redefining Horizons:
Moving Learning Forward.”Session Formats
Conference sessions are 60
minutes in length, leveraging presentation spaces, computer labs
(limited availability), "intelligent classrooms" (interactive white
boards/"clickers"/etc.), or "bring your own device"
(laptops/tablets/smart phones/etc., supplied by attendees).Session
Topics
Your proposed presentation might focus
on...
- Enterprise-level hardware and systems (including emerging
education and enterprise technologies),
- Tablets,
eReaders, student "bring your own device," 1-1 computing, apps, deployment/use strategies,
- Technology-driven
classroom resources, practices, and ideas,
- Technology use
in support of the Common Core and Next Generation Standards,
- Multimedia in
the district, school, and classroom,
- Ideas which
leverage connections (real-time or otherwise) across distances,
- Hybrid/blended
and distance education tools and strategies,
- Assistive
technology/Universal Design for Learning,
