KySTE 2014 Open for
Registration
KySTE 2014,
the conference of the Kentucky Society for Technology in
Education, invites
you to attend. Join nearly 2,000
information
technology leaders, technicians, tech
resource/integration specialists, classroom teachers,
administrators/district leaders, library media specialists,
vendors/exhibitors, and other
education professionals at the largest education technology conference
in the south central US.
This year’s conference theme is “Redefining Horizons:
Moving Learning Forward.”
Session
Topics
There will be
sessions on a variety of important education technology trends and
tools, including...
- Enterprise-level
technology, including hardware
selection, deployment, and support.
- Emerging
technologies.
- Tablets,
eReaders, student "bring your own device," 1-1 computing.
- Technology-driven
classroom resources, practices, and ideas, with attention to the Common
Core and Next Generation Standards.
- Web 2.0 tools,
resources, software and storage "on the cloud."
- Multimedia in
the district, school, and classroom.
- Videoconference
technologies and Ideas which
leverage connections (real-time or otherwise) across distances.
- Hybrid/blended
and distance education tools and strategies.
- Assistive
technology/Universal Design for Learning.
Also new this
year: KySTE has contracted with Core-Apps
to provide a full
conference app, available in a few months from Google
Play/Apple iTunes. The app will allow users to search presentations,
build/share a personal schedule, access vendors and their
exhibit
hall locations, instantly evaluate sessions, receive late announcements
and session change notices, and much more.

The
Wednesday pre-conference workshops (free with full registration) has
greatly expanded. Besides our usual DTC/CIO, TIS/TRT, STLP and
technical threads, look for sessions on:
